2011 Brett Wood-Taylor Santa Judo Tournament

The first Saturday in December, Santa Clause makes an appearance in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin for the annual Brett Wood-Taylor Santa Judo Tournament. This year everyone heard that Santa Clause would be in town and Judo competitors came from around the Midwest including Ontario, Canada were in attendance.

With over 300 Judo players the event went well into the evening with the heavy weight division starting around 8:00 pm.

Santa Clause made the rounds handing out gifts to all the young competitors. After he left the youth started to compete. The seniors and master divisions followed the juniors.

Nate Boston a Stevens Point Judo members competed in the masters division. Nate ended the evening with second place. Greg Hakamaki placed second in the light heavy class. Greg had six opponents Saturday evening.

Ken Camlek and Jim Haferman place first in the kata division performing Katame no Kata, the kata of hold downs. Haferman was so intense applying technique on Ken Camlek that you had the feeling that Camlek was going to pass out.
